~ MEOW Hiya everyone!!
Sorry I've been away so long! To those who don't know, my dear lil laptop recently encountered a deadly virus here on DA. It was one of those familiar "Your computer may be at risk, and needs an immediate scan". Sounds lagit, right? Nuh-uh, cuz it automatically scans without asking permission first! And that's not the first time I've encountered one of those things. So, to make a long story short, I ended up making a trip to Staples for some anti-virus software (desperately needed!) and installed it. First thing that popped up was a long list of bad bugs, and I never completed a full scan, cuz about three-fourths of the way through, the computer ended up crashing. Last I saw, the software had found 77 actual viruses, and 550-something traces of previous viruses. Needless to say, I spent a few days getting my computer back to life, and I've been absent for the past week due to a certain virus-hysteria caused by all of this. So, I am now back, and slowly merging myself back into DA once more. Which might I mention I scan my computer every time I log off, and every time I find 8 spy cookies from DA alone! Might I make mention for those who don't know, spy cookies are seperate from regular cookies. They are BAD. Not as bad as viruses. Viruses normally register a full five bars on my anti-virus screen. Spy cookies only register one. But, spy cookies are programmed with a certain key code. Say, if you type in a familar word like "and" or "flower" or "here" it registers with that spy cookie, and guess what?? That innocent lil cookie which was sitting hidden amid your files and folders is suddenly morphed into a nasty, computer-gnashing virus!!! To put it simply.

Which brings me to my next subject: IS THERE NOTHING THE ADMINS CAN DO TO MAKE DA A SAFER, MORE VIRUS-FREE PLACE?!?!?!?! After all, those are eight different sleeping viruses just waiting to be unleashed, NOT to mention the virus-scan thing floating around!! SERIOUSLY!! Admins, listen to us!!! I KNOW you're only human, and can only do so much, but how is DA to function all virused up!!??

So, that's pretty much the update on me. And for the moment I'm bringing back my previous feature (as it never really got enough love due to the priority of TWLOHA Day). Enjoy, and I may add to the list soon! Sayonara everyone, and best of luck avoiding those nasty viruses!!!
